Register and Start Creating a Blog Of Your Dream

Go to www.wix.com and create an account. Remember, it’s absolutely free, you can go through all the steps with me without paying a dime, so don’t hesitate and register now.

We are going through the process of registering an account on WIX. To do this, enter the email address and password twice. You can also sign in with a Facebook or Google account.

Now click ‘Create New Site’ on the upper right corner of the screen.

After completing the registration process and clicking the button to create a website, select a template for the blog. All templates are divided into categories: business, online store, photo, music, design, restaurants and food, hotels, events, portfolio and resume, blog, health, fashion and beauty, education and culture, art, landing pages.

You can create a blog with Wix in two ways: with the help of ADI (artificial design intelligence) or with ready-made Wix blog template.

ADI makes everything for you, but you can edit the final result as you wish. We’ll go next with the template, so choose the right option and then select the template:

The editor can be launched from both the template page and the preview page. This is how it looks like:

Using the editor, you can change the background. As a background, standard templates are available, as well as plain options, photos from a computer, social networks, from Wix or Bigstock. The next button below the button with a plus sign allows access to the Wix App Market. Here are the applications that can make a blog more functional and effective.

The next button allows you to go to your downloads. Fonts, photos, videos, audio, documents that can be used at any time are downloaded here.

Clicking on the button with the pen opens the blog editor. From here you can manage your blog, work with its pages, add new posts, as well as other elements.

Click ‘Create New Post’ to add a new blog post with Wix.

After you’ve written your article, press ‘Publish’ and your post will be live.

What About Wix Blog Post SEO?

Click ‘Post Settings’ at the upper right corner of your blog post and go to the SEO tab. You are able to edit the URL of your post, SEO title and description as well as see Google snippet preview.

In addition to SEO, you can edit your blog tags and categories here as well.

Other Important Links

The “Site” tab opens functions such as connecting domains, switching to the Premium version, viewing the history, exiting the editor, and others.

The “Tools” tab provides access to several functions. Options “Gridlines” and “Rulers” allow you to position and align elements on the page. 

Clicking on the “Help” tab gives access to instructions for creating and launching a blog.

The icons at the top of the screen allow you to zoom out, undo or redo the last action, switch between the full version and the mobile version, and also save your work.

Just below the icons, the social networks panel, functions for managing the horizontal blog menu, as well as changes in the background, layout, and size of the bar on which it is located are available.

On the right is the editor toolbar. It allows you to arrange the layers, distribute, align, adjust to size, rotate the various elements and provides access to a number of other functions.
